TREATMENT FOR EACH AGE GROUP

CHILDREN

ADOLESCENTS

Empowering kids through beautiful smiles.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends the first visit to an orthodontist at age 7. Early intervention allows us to guide the growth of the jawbone, ensuring that permanent teeth come in straight. We do this by creating more space where teeth are crowded and regulating the width of the upper and lower jaw. Avoiding impacted teeth and painful complications later in life.

In addition, early treatment will...

  • Regulate the width of the upper and lower arches
  • Create more space for crowded teeth
  • Avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions later in life
  • Correct thumb sucking and help improve minor speech problems

ADOLESCENTS

ADOLESCENTS

Confident teenagers and young adults with beautiful teeth.

Most of orthodontic treatments occur between the ages of 10 and 16 years.

Braces can solve a number of oral health issues, including:

  • Overly crowded and crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite (where the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth)
  • Open bite (where some teeth cannot properly touch each other)
  • Underbite (where the lower teeth stick out ahead of the upper teeth)
  • Crossbite (where both the lower and upper teeth are misaligned)

Fixing these issues carries several benefits. First, it improves the way your teen’s smile will look. Many studies have shown that people with healthier smiles have more confidence and often enjoy more success in work and in their communities.

ADULTS

ADULTS

Braces aren’t just for kids anymore. In fact, one in four orthodontic patients is over 21.

While adults can experience the same results as children and teens in terms of achieving a beautiful, straight smile, the treatment often takes longer.

Having a good smile also has several health benefits, such as:

  • Teeth are easier to clean and therefore less likely to get cavities, decay,  gum recession or bone loss
  • Bad bites can create unnecessary pressure on certain teeth – this can lead to chipped teeth, sore jaw muscles or bone loss
  • Straighter teeth contribute to more clear speech

TYPES OF BRACES

METAL BRACES

Girl on orthodontic braces and a beautiful confident happy smile.

These are the most common braces and use high strength steel as base material. They are small and most patients love it.

CLEAR ALIGNERS

An adult with beautiful smile.

Invisalign and other clear aligner brands use 3D model technology and clear overlay templates to adjust your teeth according to an orthodontist treatment plan.

CERAMIC BRACES

CERAMIC BRACES

Braces systems that use translucent (clear) materials that blend with your teeth color and mostly used by adults
